WELCOME Dear Friends,

Welcome to the Pina Bird Book Club.

Think of this little newsletter as a warm cup of tea or coffee where we can sit together for a few moments each month. It’s a place for families who enjoy stories, imagination, kindness, and a little fun along the way.

Stories can help children laugh, learn, and sometimes understand feelings that are hard to explain. Through stories, children discover that it’s okay to make mistakes, try again, help others, and grow.

Each month, I will share a little behind the scenes of the books I’m working on, introduce some of the characters you may meet along the way, and include fun activities for children to enjoy.

WHAT WE ARE WORKING ON

Right now, several new adventures are being illustrated, and I’m very excited about what’s ahead this year.

One of the projects being prepared is our first coloring and activity book:

Fred the Super and Friends: Winter Adventure Coloring and Activity Book

This will be the first time Fred and his friends appear in a coloring and activity format, with fun pages children can color and activities they can enjoy along the way.

Another special story currently being illustrated is:

Fred the Super: A Home for Freida

In this story, Fred the Bear discovers a small egg that has been left alone in the woods. Curious and concerned, he stays nearby and soon witnesses the egg hatch. From that moment on, Fred cares for the little bird, Freida, and their journey becomes a story about love, belonging, and how families can be formed in many beautiful ways.

More stories are also on the way this year, including:

Bad Chick and the Big Mess
Dexter the Dinosaur and His Bravery Rock

Little by little, I’ll share more about each of these adventures as they come to life.

THOUGHT OF THE MONTH

As spring approaches, the days are getting longer and flowers will soon begin to bloom. In some places they already are.

It’s a good reminder that small things can brighten someone’s day.

What is one small thing you could do today to make someone smile?

Maybe help someone carry something, share a kind word, or lend a helping hand.

Sometimes the smallest kindness can mean the most.

THANK YOU

Thank you for being part of the Pina Bird Book Club. I look forward to sharing many stories and adventures with you and your family.

Warmly,
Pina Bird

Until next time, remember that something good can come from every experience.
