As a children's book author, I believe stories should do more than entertain. They should help children grow, think, laugh, learn, and feel proud of what they can do.
That is one of the reasons I am creating my upcoming children's activity book. I started thinking about how many simple everyday skills children are not always learning anymore. Things like making a bed, tying a shoe, telling time, counting money, writing a postcard, mailing a letter, cleaning up toys, helping at home, and understanding how much things cost.
These may seem like small things, but they are not small to a child.
When a child learns how to tie their shoes, they feel independent. When they learn how to tell time, they feel more confident. When they understand money, chores, helping others, and responsibility, they begin to understand the world around them.
I wanted to create a book that brings back those simple lessons in a fun, colorful, and creative way.
Children today are surrounded by screens, fast answers, and constant entertainment. But they still need hands-on learning. They still need to color, write, count, think, imagine, and practice real-life skills. They need books that make learning feel like play.
This activity book is designed to do just that.
Through fun pages, familiar characters, and simple activities, children will learn practical skills while still enjoying themselves. They will color, solve, circle, count, trace, match, and explore. Most importantly, they will feel proud when they say, "I can do this!"
As parents, grandparents, teachers, and caregivers, we all want children to feel capable. We want them to be kind, responsible, curious, and confident. Sometimes the best lessons are the simple ones we learned when we were young.
That is what inspired this book.
I created it for the children we love. I created it to bring back meaningful learning. I created it because childhood should be filled with imagination, confidence, and little lessons that last a lifetime.
My hope is that this book becomes more than just an activity book. I hope it becomes a fun way for families to sit together, talk together, learn together, and celebrate the joy of growing up one little skill at a time.
